In late 2025 Mike was contacted by Dr. Tom Waters, Lt. Col. USAF (Ret), (Former AF MSgt / E-7), Purple Heart Recipient from Pahrump Life Magazine and asked to do a story in the Veteran’s section for the Jan-April 2026 edition. Because the story Mike wanted to tell about why he wrote the book “the Sea’s Fury,” wouldn’t fit in one magazine, Tom decided to publish the article in two consecutive issues.

Here now Tom introduces Mikes two articles:

Mike has given us an excellent article not only about why he wrote “the Sea’s Fury,” but he also gives an in depth guided view of what it was like for him doing 6 years in the US Coast Guard. I admit that both Part I and part II held my attention from beginning to end in each article. With that said, we could be reading YOUR story next, and, if so, we’ll see you there.
